The Guide to the Australian Education Act 2013 provides an interpretation of the Australian Education Act 2013 and the Australian Education Regulation 2013.

The Guide has been written primarily for the approved authorities of schools. It also covers the funding and requirements for approved system authorities, block grant authorities and for non-government representative bodies.

The Australian Education Act 2013 came into effect on 1 January 2014 and legislates Commonwealth funding to schools in Australia. It sets out the rights and responsibilities of authorities in order for them to receive Commonwealth funding for the purposes of school education.

This site comprises an online version of the Guide to the Australian Education Act 2013.

It is designed to be an interactive web resource.
